In general, the service life of PVC flooring is more than 5 years, and the service life varies depending on the usage situation. No matter how long the service life is, we always think about how to extend the service life of PVC flooring after laying it. Proper maintenance and care are also determining factors for the service life of PVC flooring.

routine maintenance

1. To avoid scratching the PVC floor with sand particles on the soles of the shoes, dust-proof carpets are laid at the entrance and exit of the door to prevent sand particles from entering the soles of the shoes.

2. Promptly remove sand particles and hard debris from the floor surface, and use a dry, damp cloth to scrub the stains.

3. For difficult to remove stains, a cleaning and maintenance system can be applied to the floor surface, and after waiting for a few minutes, a softer plastic brush can be used to clean.  

Maintenance precautions

1. It is forbidden to soak the floor in open water. Although some floors use waterproof glue to separate the water source, prolonged immersion in water can seriously affect the service life of the floor. During the cleaning process, promptly use a water suction machine to absorb the sewage.

2. For areas with high pedestrian traffic and significant wear and tear, the maintenance cycle should be shortened.

3. It is prohibited to use hard and rough cleaning tools (such as steel wire balls, scouring pads, etc.) to prevent sharp objects from colliding with PVC flooring. The roll material should be left on site for at least 24 hours to restore its memory and maintain the same temperature as the construction site

Floor paving - pasting

1. Choose PVC flooring that is suitable.

2. When laying the roll material, fold one end of the pre laid roll material. First, clean the floor and the back of the roll material, and then scrape the adhesive onto the floor.

3. Different adhesives may have different requirements during construction. Please refer to the corresponding product manual for specific instructions.

Floor paving - exhaust

1. After pasting the floor, first use a cork push plate to flatten the surface of the floor and squeeze out air.

2. Excess glue on the floor surface should be wiped off in a timely manner.

3. The slotting and welding should be carried out after 24 hours. Floor paving - slotting

1. Slotting must be carried out after the adhesive has fully cured. Use a specialized slotter (or a random slotting knife) to slot along the seam. To ensure a firm welding, the opening should not penetrate the bottom, and it is recommended that the groove depth be 2/3 of the floor thickness.

2. At the end where the stapler cannot cut, please use a manual stapler to sew with the same depth and width.

3. Before welding, the residual dust and debris in the groove must be removed.

Floor paving - welds

1. Manual welding guns or automatic welding equipment can be used for welding seams.

2. The temperature of the welding gun should be set at around 350 degrees Celsius.

3. Squeeze the welding rod into the pre made groove at an appropriate welding speed and uniform speed.

4. When the welding rod is semi cooled, use a welding rod leveler or a moon shaped cutter to roughly cut off the part of the welding rod that is higher than the floor level.

5. After the welding rod has completely cooled down, use a welding rod leveler or a moon shaped cutter to cut off the remaining protruding parts of the welding rod.
